Workforce Data Quality Initiative (WDQI)
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Workforce Data Quality Initiative (WDQI) helps state and local workforce leaders build and enhance statewide longitudinal data systems (SLDS) that link administrative data from workforce and education programs over time, so that state leaders can understand what is working and what is not, build tools to help students and workers learn new skills and forge better careers, and conduct research that advances the field.
Arkansas was awarded 2.5 M in Round 8 WDQI funding to expand the state’s longitudinal data system to include workforce and training programs such as Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Titles I-IV, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and Work-Based Learning (WBL). The three-year project will also support advanced analytics of program outcomes and priority policy issues, including equity, co-enrollment, work history, skills gaps, and skills gains analyses.
